Sandbaai – A New Entry in My Fave Getaway Charts

in Travel & Places

The Croydon and I recently returned to Sandbaai for another weekend visit.

Sandbaai is a small suburb of Hermanus, mostly houses close to a coast, and reportedly has around 4000 residents.

We’d discovered an Airbnb gen out there, and this time brought along my mum. Chloe and Rebecca are wonderful hosts, and I’d highly recommend looking at their place for a stay in the area.

We also had an opportunity to ride into Hermanus proper, which I’ve not done in quite some time.

I particularly liked this sculpture along the beachfront walk. While many of the other sculptures along the walk feel abstract and artist-centric, this one spoke to me… or perhaps to a more tangible feeling of wonder.

Something's out there
